How to restore a disk to its original condition using disk image?
Before you started the processing or recovering of deleted files, the program created a disk image of the original drive.
By default, a disk image file stored in the disk:\Unformat_Images folder.
Using the disk image file you can restore a disk to its original condition in case something fails during the data recovery process.
To Restore a Disk Image – Simple Mode:
- Select a disk image in the Disk Image list.
- Click Restore Disk Image.
- Click Yes. The Restore Image page appears.
To Restore a Disk Image – Expert Mode:
- Select a disk image in the Disk Image list.
- Select the Restore Image Expert Mode check box.
- Click Restore Disk Image. A confirming message appears.
- Click Yes. The Restore Image page appears.
- in the Destination panel select a drive where you want to write the restored disk image.
- Click Next. The Restore Image progress bar appears.
- After the process is complete, the message “Image restored successfully” appears in the text message area.
- Click Back to return to Step 1.
Click Restore Image – to revert the results (if any), thus restoring original drive/device configuration.
